Last night we got a new episode of the PlayStation State of Play event, where Sony shared a look at the first- and third-party games coming to the PS5 and PS4 platforms.

 

 

A recap of everything announced at the State of Play event
Most of the announcements at the event were expected, thanks to the leaks that preceded it by hours or even days, but it seems that Sony was tight-lipped about some announcements that were a heavy surprise. But let's start from the beginning with this recap that will put you on all the new announcements and offers.

Astro Bot
The game's developer team, Asobi, announced new Speedrun levels and 10 new special robots to save them from this fall. The new addition will be available to download for free, and it seems to be part of Sony's 30th anniversary gifts for the PlayStation brand.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered will be released on October 31 on PS5 and PC. The game will feature more than 10 hours of re-recorded conversations, along with visual improvements to the graphics and effects that will make the game enjoy the same quality that the second part provided while taking full advantage of the power of PS5.

LEGO Horizon Adventures

The previously announced game, Aloy will return to PS5 in a few months through a new adventure in the world of LEGO on November 14 of this year 2024.

Alan Wake 2: The Lake House
The latest addition to Alan Wake 2 has been announced, which takes place in a new and strange location on the shores of Lake Cauldron. Inside the Federal Control Bureau research station, Lake House, where a catastrophic event occurred due to reckless experiments that caused reality to collide with darkness.

ArcheAge Chronicles
Last night at the event, the next installment in the ArcheAge series, the RPG ArcheAge Chronicles, will feature a combat-focused, story-driven, and rich world to explore when it launches in 2025.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard
EA joined the State of Play event to showcase new gameplay for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, which is coming to us on October 31st of this year.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins
The PS5 release date for Dynasty Warriors: Origins has finally been revealed, with the game set to launch on January 17th, 2025. The game will feature a new, unknown hero who will make his way through the Three Kingdoms era in ancient China through an exciting adventure filled with epic battles and fights.

Fantasian Neo Dimension
Yes, it's the game of the godfather of the Final Fantasy series, Hironobu Sakaguchi, and his latest role-playing game is coming to PS5 on December 5, 2024.

The Midnight Walk
Moonhood has revealed its new game The Midnight Walk, a dark fantasy adventure game with characters and worlds made of clay. The game is coming to PS5 but can be played entirely through PlayStation VR2 glasses in the spring of next year 2025. Enter a hand-crafted world and embark on a journey through five scary tales of fire, guiding your little lantern friend, Potboy, while defeating flame-eating monsters lurking in the shadows.

Palworld
Yes, Palworld is finally coming to PS5, and not only that, the game will be available to download and play starting now. The game offers an open world for up to 32 players, while aiming to survive and collect monsters as its events take place in a world inhabited by mysterious creatures called "Pals". Collect over 100 species of these mysterious creatures and explore a vast world during your adventure.

Monster Hunter Wilds
Monster Hunter Wilds will be released on next-gen consoles on February 28, 2025. During last night’s PlayStation event, the main monster known as “White Wraith” was revealed, along with a review of various scenes of combat and confrontations with different monsters.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered
As stated in the last-minute leaks that preceded the State of Play event, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered was announced for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, which will be released on December 10 of this year, 2024.

Hell is Us
We finally got a review of the adventure and mystery game Hell is Us during last night’s State of Play event. The game will rely on the linking and exploration system in order to find the right path and explore its mysterious world filled with secrets.

Ghost of Yōtei
Finally, the surprise of the State of Play event was the conclusion, which Sony surprised us with and kept away from leaks and even hints. Ghost of Yōtei, which is the next part of Ghost of Tsushima, but this time it will take us on a new epic adventure with a new hero and a whole new area in Japan to explore.

The game will be released exclusively on PS5 at an unspecified time next year 2025, while Sony and Sucker Punch will share more details with us later.
